Slinky Dog Dash Has Guests Worried
One of Disney's Hollywood Studios' most popular rides is leaving Guests disappointed and a bit worried. What do you think of this current situation?

In recent years, Disney has transformed Hollywood Studios from a half-day park to a "must-do" for many families. It is so much more than just shows now. Hollywood Studios is home to many thrill rides and great family-friendly attractions.
There are at least 4 headliners all competing with each other, plus several other attractions that are a must-do for most Guests.
Unfortunately, several of these attractions have not had a great morning. This is wreaking havoc on touring strategies and wait times across the park.
Slinky Dog Dash Closed
On August 30, 2026, around 7:15 pm, Slinky Dog Dash closed. On August 31, 2026, Slinky Dog Dash did not operate at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Many Guests hoped that any technical errors would be corrected overnight.
However, Slinky Dog Dash failed to open on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. As of the time of this writing, Slinky Dog Dash failed to open today, Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
This is the 3rd day that this attraction has failed to open for Guests.
Hollywood Studios Closures
To make matters even more complicated Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror have both failed to open today.
Slinky Dog Dash remains closed for the 3rd day.
As you can imagine, when popular rides aren't running, this causes other attractions to have longer waits. This is especially true at Disney's Hollywood Studios since there aren't that many attractions to start with.
If any of these attractions are a "must-do" for your family, continue checking the My Disney Experience app throughout the day to see if it has reopened. Guests who secured a Lightning Lane for this attraction will receive a Lightning Lane Multi-Pass to use on a select attraction.
