Recently Walt Disney World has added restrictions to help preserve resort amenities for guests of that resort. You can read more about these new restrictions HERE.

Wrist Band Distribution

Guests staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort are reporting that Disney is now distributing wristbands. These wristbands will grant you access to the beach and the Lava Pool.

Wristbands will be required to access select locations at Disney Polynesian Resort on Saturday, July 4th.

The wristband will be required from 10 am to 10pm on Saturday July 4th. Disney is anticipating the Polynesian Resort to have a high demand for viewing of the fireworks on July 4th.

Yesterday, we shared that Disney had placed barricades along the Polynesian Beach. These barricades will ensure that Guests with wristbands are the only ones allowed to access the beach. Disney has restricted the access to the Polynesian's Beach in previous years, so the tighter restrictions is not a surprise.

Disney has distributed wristbands to Guests staying at the Polynesian Resort to access the now barricaded Resort beach.

Disney is continuing to try to enhance the Guest experience by enforcing these tighter restrictions and limiting access to Resort Guests only. Disney is even pairing down holiday decor to help keep the lobby traffic flow moving more smoothly.
