Disney Confirms the End of MagicBand+
Disney has now confirmed how the discontinuation of MagicBand+ will affect current MagicBand+ offerings in the Parks. Find out what this means for your next visit.
MagicBand Perk

MagicBands serve as a convenient way to enter the parks, make payments, check in for attractions using Lightning Lane services, and link photos taken by PhotoPass Cast Members.
For several years, Walt Disney World Resort guests could receive a complimentary MagicBand. However, the evolution of MagicBands over the years also changed this once-great perk.
Complimentary MagicBands ended in January 2021; however, Walt Disney World Resort guests could enjoy a discounted price on select MagicBands. Last October, Walt Disney World also quietly removed the resort discount for pre-arrival MagicBand+ selections.
MagicBand+ Phased Out

Earlier this week, we shared that it appeared Disneyland Resort is now discontinuing sales of the MagicBand+. MagicBand+ first debuted in 2022 and offered special interactions throughout the Disney Parks.
According to @ScottGustin, MagicBand+ is currently only available at 3 locations at Disneyland. According to sources, Gustin shares that after these remaining MagicBand+ are sold, they will not receive additional inventory.
Disneyland has now, in fact, confirmed that it will no longer be selling MagicBand+ throughout the Disneyland Resort.
Future of MagicBand+

Thankfully, Disney will continue to sell MagicBand+ at Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and DisneyStore.com.
MagicBand+ will no longer be sold at Disneyland soon.
At Disneyland, the only special MagicBand+ interaction is at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge with the Batuu Bounty Hunters experience. This interaction will still be available to Guests.
The MagicBand+ interactions at Walt Disney World remain unaltered.

I love my original magic band, but never wanted the extra whips and jingles that came with magic band +. Also did not want another item that needed to be recharged! Bring back new designs of the original and I’d probably buy another one.
I agree with not wanting another item that needs to be charged for each family member. We loved the original MagicBands.
Never bought the Magic Band+. Did not think it was worth the additional cost.
I agree with you Julia. The interactions did not seem to be worth the higher price tag.
