Rumor of Big Animal Kingdom Shakeup

If you plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom, you need to prepare for these new changes.

Animal Kingdom Changes

DinoLand is about to become extinct at Disney's Animal Kingdom. An entirely new land is on the way. Unfortunately, this new expansion also means the closure of our favorite attractions.

As DINOSAUR, along with the rest of DinoLand, closes this Sunday, February 1st, we have a new look for what is coming.

Earlier, we shared the first look at the new Tropical Americas playground map that is proposed for this new space. Check out this first look HERE.

Animal Kingdom Character Changes

This new playground will take over the current Cretaceous Trail, where Guests can meet Chip 'n' Dale and Daisy in their dinosaur-themed costumes. The former Boneyard playground will be transformed into an Encanto-themed carousel.

We heard rumors that Chip 'n' Dale will be moving to the park entrance when DinoLand officially closes this weekend. Our guess is that Chip 'n' Dale will not wear costumes with this new meet and greet location.

At this time, we have not heard where Daisy Duck and Donald Duck may relocate to.

Animal Kingdom Entertainment Changes

This will also bring an entertainment change for the DinoLand Intern with possibly a new character role. Earlier, we shared that he has serenaded guests in a brand new location. It will be interesting to see how this entertainment changes over the next couple of weeks.

We heard rumors that Chip 'n' Dale will be moving to the park entrance when DinoLand officially closes.

It is important to note that a big refurbishment is also planned for the Tree of Life. This may affect several of the walking trails when work finally begins.
