Guests Visiting Disney's Polynesian Resort Warned About Upcoming Visit
Disney has just warned Guests about their upcoming visit to the Polynesian Resort. Find out if this will impact your vacation.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a deluxe Magic Kingdom Area resort in Walt Disney World. The last few years have featured a great deal of change at the Polynesian, one of Walt Disney World's flagship resorts.
We have seen a Moana room makeover, DVC room refreshes, club level enhancements, a new entrance and monorail platform, and the announcement of a DVC expansion at the resort.
These new additions have brought many changes for guests staying at and visiting Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for dining reservations.
Warning Issued

Guests with ʻOhana reservations are receiving email notifications, and an additional notice has been posted on ʻOhana's website. You can see the notification below:
"Beginning January 15, 2026, portions of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. During this time, views of the Seven Seas Lagoon from 'Ohana may be partially or completely obstructed. We apologize for any inconvenience."

The email notification reads:
"Thank you for choosing 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for your dining experience. We are excited to welcome you! To ensure our facilities continue to meet our high standards, parts of our resort are undergoing exterior maintenance during your upcoming visit. As a result, views of Seven Seas Lagoon from 'Ohana may be partially or completely obstructed."
What Does This Mean For You?

Guests wishing to not dine at 'Ohana due to the maintenance work and obstructed views are encouraged to modify or cancel their reservation.
At this time, no completion date has been provided for the exterior maintenance work.
Keep in mind, that this is not the only construction going on at Disney's Polynesian Resort. There is also ongoing construction work happening around the resort's entrance.
