Exclusive Disney Merchandise - Guests Stuck in Long Lines as Items Sell Out!

Dopey Merchandise at runDisney Merchandise Shop
Last month, runDisney shared big news with Dopey Challenge participants. Dopey Challenge merchandise would only be available to Dopey participants on the first day of the Expo.
Dopey Challenge merchandise will be limited to Dopey Challenge participants ONLY on Day 1 of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo!
Dopey Challenge participants were told to bring their Check-In Pass or Bib along with a valid photo ID to prove their Dopey Challenge participation status.
LONG Lines and Items Sell Out
Guests looking to purchase Dopey Challenge merchandise were met with long lines. These exclusive merchandise items were kept behind a counter, similar to how Passholder merchandise is sold at the Merchandise Shop. Participants were also only able to purchase one of each item.
Check-In Pass and IDs were checked multiple times while guests were in line, to allow only Dopey Challenge participants to purchase the Dopey Challenge merchandise.
The line for this exclusive merchandise was long, with many waiting over an hour. Select items sold out as participants were still in line. Keep in mind that you had to join the Virtual Queue in order to enter the Merchandise Shop today. Many reported that the Virtual Queue filled within seconds.
What the Athletes are Saying
Even with the long lines, many Dopey Challenge participants are loving the change. The biggest complaint they seem to still have is the amount of merchandise available. The demand is still greater than the supply.
Many Dopey Challenge participants love that Disney is now limiting Dopey Challenge Merchandise to Dopey Challenge Participants on DAY 1 of the Expo!
Some hope that Disney will eventually offer more items for pre-order. While others refuse to pre-order merchandise as they can't apply discounts (DVC or Annual Passholder).
