Many dream of a trip to a Disney Park. Much planning, preparation, and saving go into a dream vacation. Even if the unexpected, like a rain shower, happens, many feel that a "rainy day at Disney is still better than a sunny day at home." Unfortunately, even The Walt Disney Company cannot create the ideal park day.

Things inevitably still cause a trip to the Disney Parks to be a bit less than magical from weather to technical difficulties to attractions, fire alarms, and transportation delays.

Disney trains Cast Members in the "5 Keys" which help to provide the highest quality of hospitality to all guests. These include Safety, Courtesy, Inclusion, Show, and Efficiency. Safety is listed first and is vitally important to provide safety for all guests and fellow Cast Members.

This morning, around 9:00 am, November 23, 2025, the Monorail Silver experienced an electrical fire. Thanks to @Chris_Magic_DCL for sharing this live view of the fire.

"He shares, "I didn't have seeing a monorail have an electrical fire on my bingo card while on my morning run this morning! There was quite a bit of smoke that smelled like electrical insulation coming out between the cars!"

This was no doubt a scary scene, but Disney and first responders were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

At this time, it is unclear if guests were aboard Monorail Silver when the fire was spotted.

Currently, the Disney Monorail is closed at Walt Disney World. Disney has not issued a response to this incident.

  1. Disney has invested in a program to make transportation a more effective means to get from point A to B.

Disney executives say "As you know, guests have many choices on how to get to our parks. And testing a system that provides value is our goal"

Management suggested that a new Dynamic Pricing system for Monorail and Courtesy Boats access is being tested at the Florida parks.

We believe a fee for this service is in the best interest of our guests. It will provide revenue streams to keep Monorails from engulfing into flames and Watercraft from careening into docks.

Dynamic Pricing for these services has not received and pushback at any of our lounge locations so far, and we push forward with this plan in mind.

Senior Executive S. McDuck was quoted as saying this afternoon.

Updates to the new service will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.
