Disney Resort Refurbishments
Many Walt Disney World Resorts are undergoing refurbishment lately. From restaurants to villas and everything in between, there's a lot of construction and remodeling happening.
Disney does try to update guests on upcoming refurbishments and closures in advance when possible.
Disney is now notifying Guests with upcoming stays at Disney's Old Key West Resort of a new closure.
NEW Closure
Disney is now notifying Guests that the South Point Pool and Spa, along with the BBQ area and playground, at Disney's Old Key West Resort is now closed. This multi-month closure will last through late April 2026.

Disney recently finished the refurbishment for routine maintenance at the Turtle Pond Pool.
What Does This Mean For You?
Even though the South Point Pool and Spa will be closed, Guests will still be able to enjoy the other pools at Old Key West. Guests can utilize the main Sandcastle Pool or the other two leisure pools - the Turtle Pond Pool or Miller's Road Pool.
