Transportation around Disney World

Transportation around Walt Disney World is a bit complicated at times. Many Guests wonder if it is quicker to drive themselves or to use Disney transportation.
This depends upon which Disney Resort you are staying at and also which Park you will visit. The Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE and many questions revolve around the quickest mode of transportation to arrive at each Park.
From the skyliner, buses, ferry boats, and of course the monorail , there are many options for Resort Guests to arrive at each of the Walt Disney World Parks.
Disney World Road Closures

This weekend is the runDisney Wine & Dine event. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, road closures will be minimal. EPCOT Center Drive will be closed from 4:15 am until 7:00 am.
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, road closures will affect guests a bit more as runners complete the half-marathon course. These closures will affect Floridian Way, World Drive South, and Buena Vista Drive starting at 4:30 am until 7:00 am.
Guests driving to EPCOT will need to prepare for EPCOT Center Drive to be closed through 9:00 am. This closure will affect guests arriving at EPCOT. If you will be driving throughout Walt Disney World Resort this weekend, pack your patience and plan ahead for these road closures.
Warning for EPCOT Guests

Typically, EPCOT opens at 9:00 am every day while offering early entry at 8:30 am for Walt Disney World Resort guests. It normally closes at 9:00 pm nightly.
Several road closures will affect guests this Sunday, October 26, 2025
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, EPCOT will open an hour later than normal. This will be 9:30 am for Walt Disney World Resort guests and 10:00 am for all other guests.
Along with having a later opening, EPCOT may be more crowded with half marathon finishers entering the park to celebrate their accomplishment. Also on this night, EPCOT will host a Post-Race Party with a 10:00 pm start time.
Guests with Post-Race Party tickets can enter the park at 5:00 pm for this event. In short, EPCOT will open later and may be crowded when it does open, and you may see a large surge of party guests entering the park at 5:00 pm.
