Getting Around Orlando International Airport Just Got Easier - The Pedestrian Bridge is FINALLY Open!
Orlando International Airport just got a lot easier to get around. Check out the new Pedestrian Bridge and how it is improving the traveler's experience.
Terminal C

Terminal C at Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the newest addition, and it brings a new level of customer convenience and amenities to MCO:
- 23 food and beverage options and a variety of shops
- Adjacent to MCO's Train Station with Brightline inter-city rail service to South Florida that began in 2023
- Up to 20 aircraft at 15 gates, accommodating both domestic and international flights
- Facial recognition technology, which provides faster and more secure boarding
- Security screening lanes feature an automated bin return system
- Checked bags are fed into an RFID Tote Baggage Handling System for efficient tracking
- International arrivals are "Bags First" - passengers retrieve their checked bags before proceeding to U.S. Customs and Immigration
Travelers must take either the Terminal Link or a shuttle bus to travel between Terminals A/B (Main Terminal) to Terminal C.
Unfortunately, Terminal C's rental car operations do not run 24 hours like the Main Terminals. This would leave travelers coming in at off hours to make the long and often HOT trek to Terminals A and B.
Pedestrian Bridge Delayed!

When Terminal C was first built, there was supposed to be a pedestrian walkway/bridge connecting the Terminal to the Terminal Link. Unfortunately, this bridge was removed from the plans due to cost-cutting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this year, the Pedestrian Bridge was set to open in April. That opening date was pushed back.
While travelers waited for the Pedestrian Bridge to open, those choosing to take the Terminal Link to Terminals A and B would have to trek through the parking garage. This was not only difficult but frustrating for travelers, as the rubber expansion joints make pulling suitcases, strollers, or anything with small wheels a challenge.
Pediastrian Bridge Now Open!

The Pedestrian Bridge is now open! It is air-conditioned and offers bidirectional moving walkways. The walkways are expected to be extended next year, and a third set of moving walkways to be installed.
"The Pedestrian Bridge represents both progress and a promise. By opening this new access, we are delivering greater convenience to our passengers and meeting their expectations of a world-class airport."
-Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Avaition Authority
Check out the video that Orlando International Airport shared of the newly opened Pedestrian Bridge below:
Per MCO's website, the airport is the busiest in Florida, the 9th busiest in the United States, and the 25th busiest in the world! This new addition is sure to make traveling through Orlando International Airport easier!
