Disney Parks announced a refurbishment for one of its most popular rides. And now we have a reopening date! See if it impacts your trip, especially if you are planning to go to a Halloween Party.

No one likes to hear that a ride, restaurant, show, or hotel amenity will be under refurbishment during their visit to Disney Parks. However, refurbishment is a reality.

After all, Guest safety is a huge priority for Disney Parks. It is the first of Disney's 5 keys to success.

Refurbishment serves to ensure everything is running as safely and efficiently as possible. However, it can be disappointing, especially for those enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime or first time in a long time visit.

Radiator Springs Racers

Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park is one of the most popular attractions in Disney Land. It is consistently amassing large crowds at Rope Drop.

It is a fun-fueled, themed to cars. Guests get to prepare for a race with Lightning McQueen and then zoom around a track in beautiful Radiator Springs to determine a winner.

In June we leanred that Radiator Springs would cloase for refurbishment this summer. You can read about it HERE.. It is scheduled for refurbishment starting August 18, 2025. And now we have a reopening date, too.

When Will Radiator Springs Racers Reopen

Radiator Springs will be closed for over a month. This is especially disappointing because the refurbishment coincides with Oogie Boogie Bash. Part of the fun is experiencing popular attractions with lower wait times, and it will not be an option on quite a few party dates.

Radiator Springs Racers is scheduled to be closed from August 18-September 26, 2025.

Radiator Springs Racers is currently scheduled to reopen on September 26, 2025. This, of course, is always subject to change, and hopefully, work moves swiftly.
