After being closed for several months, guests were surprised to finally see this attraction open. Find out why this may be the coolest spot at the Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Closures

There is never a good time for an attraction to close for a refurbishment, particularly when this refurbishment spans half a year and counting.
In previous years, Disney has planned many refurbishments during the slower months of January and February. Unfortunately, not all work is able to be completed before heavy summer crowds descend upon Walt Disney World.
Magic Kingdom has several lengthy refurbishments taking place with Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland, and very soon, the closure of Tom Sawyer Island to make room for Cars Land.
Hall of Presidents Partially Reopens

One Magic Kingdom attraction that undergoes a quite lengthy refurbishment every four years is the Hall of Presidents. This attraction closed on January 20, 2025, to return President Donald Trump to the center.
Today, Magic Kingdom guests were able to enjoy the lobby of the Hall of Presidents. This offered a break from the Florida sun and enjoy many patriotic portraits and memorabilia from many U.S. Presidents. We appreciate that Disney is now offering more indoor, air-conditioned spots for guests.
Many hoped this closure would be shorter than in years past since the President Trump animatronic was already created. At this time, Cast Members did not share when the actual show will reopen to guests.
Disney Patriotic Pride

Walt Disney endeavored for both Disneyland and Walt Disney World to foster pride in our country. This is clearly evident as you see the American flags lined along Main Street, USA.
The Hall of Presidents lobby is now open to guests.
The addition of attractions such as the Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in Disneyland are great ways for all guests to connect with our American heritage.
