Tax Increases Affect Select Disney Vacations
Your next Disney trip may cost you even more, but this time it is due to tax increases. Find out how this will affect you now and see how this will increase even more over the next few years.
Disney Price Increases

Over the past several months, the Walt Disney Company has been under attack by many who feel that the Disney parks are too expensive for the average family. The Walt Disney Company responded, stating that they felt the lifelong memories that guests create as well worth the current price.
This was later followed up by Josh D'Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, who shared how "budget-conscious" families should visit during these key times.
Now your Disney vacation may cost more than you originally budgeted for due to tax increases.
Tax Increases

Guests hoping to hit the High Seas with Mickey, Minnie, and their crew will soon see tax increases for destinations stopping in Mexico. Originally, the bill was to charge a $42 immigration levy tax for each cruise passenger.
As expected, this was not received well. After much deliberation, a new plan was developed that will slowly raise taxes. The first tax increase will affect guests docking in Mexico on July 1, 2025. These cruise passengers will see a $5 taxation per cruise passenger.
Increases will again hit on August 1, 2026, when this will change to $10 per passenger. Beginning August 1, 2026, and then will increase to $15 on July 1, 2027.
Plan Ahead

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) shares, "On behalf of the FCCA and our member cruise lines- representing over 95% of cruise capacity in the Caribbean and Latin America- we thank the Federal Government of Mexico for working with us to reach an 'in transit fee' agreement."
Tax increases will begin July 1, 2025.
This tax increase will affect all cruise lines docking in Mexico starting July 1, 2025. Thankfully, this fee will be small at first, but plan ahead for this added expense.
