You may want to check out this new addition if you were debating whether purchasing Disney’s Lightning Lane was worth the added cost. This could be a game-changer in helping you make your choice.

Walt Disney World made a change from the previous Disney Genie+ to the new Individual Lightning Lane system, allowing guests to skip the traditional standby line for a fee. The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass is very similar to the previous Disney Genie+ with a few exceptions.

On-site guests can purchase and make selections 7 days ahead of their arrival date. Offsite Guests will be able to do so 3 days ahead. Guests can still purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the day of their visit, but will not see the same availability if purchased earlier.

After you use your first Lightning Lane, you can then book your next experience. If you have a Park Hopper ticket or an Annual Pass, you can even make a selection for a different park.

This summer, Walt Disney World will bring an extra dose of magic to all of the Theme Parks and even select resorts with “Cool Kid Summer.” And Guests can enjoy 2 new shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: “Villains Unfairly Ever After” and “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure.”

Yesterday, both shows were added to the My Disney Experience app along with showtimes when they debut on May 27th.

What is interesting is that “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure” features the Lightning Lane logo while “Villains Unfairly Ever After does not.

Disney has not officially added “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure” to the listing of Lightning Lane attractions, but this could be added when the show opens later this month.

“The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure” will welcome guests from 9:15 am until 7:15 pm, which may indicate continuous running showtimes compared to the listed showtimes for “Villains Unfairly Ever After.”

We suspect big crowds hoping to enjoy this show, and we hope it will be officially added to the Lightning Lane listing of attractions closer to opening day.
