This change could affect your next stay at Walt Disney World Resort. Be prepared to help make your check-in and check-out even easier.
Walt Disney World Resorts

Many Disney guests love to stay inside the “Disney Bubble” on Disney property. There are many great perks for Disney Resort guests, from Early Theme Park Entry to free Disney transportation. There are some great reasons to stay on the property.
Walt Disney World does try to make the checking-in and checking-out process easy for guests. Guests can check in and check out of their Walt Disney World Resort room through the My Disney Experience app.
This allows guests to bypass stopping by the front desk and enjoy the fun and Disney magic. However, sometimes a visit to the resort front desk is necessary, and you will want to prepare for this big resort change.
Grand Floridian Warning

When we first shared the newest lobby refurbishment, we did not anticipate a big construction project. One of the most notable changes is the addition of the Grand Floridian Lobby Bar.
This current construction has greatly affected the lobby. Currently, the walls surround the Garden View Tea Room, and the traditional Resort Front Desk. A temporary location is now available with Cast Members assisting guests with tablets to help answer many requests and questions.
This limited space may create additional delays if you find yourself needing to visit the front desk while staying at the Grand Floridian.
Tips to avoid long lines at Disney Resort

Disney does try to minimize the inconvenience of a big refurbishment, but these changes are not so desirable. If you have a stay planned at Disney’s Grand Floridian, use the My Disney Experience app for check-in and check-out.
Guest Services is currently in a temporary location at the Grand Floridian lobby.
However, if you do have to visit the front desk, try to visit during off times such as early morning, early afternoon, or late evening to avoid longer lines.
