Our Favorite Alien is Missing in Magic Kingdom

If you have been to Magic Kingdom recently then you may have noticed that something is missing. Read on to find out what’s gone!

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Guests visiting Tomorrowland at Walt Disney’s World’s Magic Kingdom have many dining options. Located in Tomorrowland right across from the Tomorrowland Speedway, Cosmic Ray’s is a quick-service eatery that offers American staples like burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, and more.

Sonny Eclipse, a Zorkie from the City of Yew Nork, can be found in Cosmic Ray’s.

Cosmic Ray’s is a large restaurant with ample seating. There are quite a few tables to choose from – from the nooks and crannies behind the counters to the giant dining room where a giant animatronic Zorkie from the City of Yew Nork on planet Zork will sing to you and tell you corny jokes.

Sonny Eclipse

Cosmic Ray’s is the home to Sonny Eclipse. Guests dining here will be serenaded by Sonny while also enjoying this quick-service dining option.

Not only are diners graced with Sonny’s singing, but he also offers up “Dad Jokes.”

His 25-minute set includes:

“Yew Nork, Yew Nork”
“My Name is Sonny Eclipse”
“Out in Space”
“Hello Space Angels”
“Gravity Blues”
“Starlight Soup and Salad”
“Bright Little Star”
“Planetary Boogie”

Sonny Missing

It has been reported Sonny Eclipse is missing. Currently, his stage is set for special events (like in the picture above) with him no longer center stage.

Sonny Eclipse is now missing from Cosmic Ray’s! There is no news on his status or if a special event will use his stage.

This isn’t uncommon for events that occur during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. During these events, Sonny’s stage is lifted into the ceiling. However, there is no special event scheduled soon. Many are speculating that Sonny is not currently functioning properly; there is no official word on Sonny’s status.
