The first land you enter after making your way to the Magic Kingdom is Main Street, U.S.A. Themed after turn-of-the-century Marceline, Missouri, Main Street is a love letter to Walt Disney’s hometown.
Ice cream parlors, horse-drawn trolleys, and even a working barber shop allow us to live in the nostalgic past of days long gone. The mind-blowing projection mappings, upscale jewelry, and incredible photo technology point us to the future.
You may rush by it every day in your quest to conquer Magic Kingdom. But, I beg you to slow down and take it all in!
What To Do On Main Street
There is so much to do on Main Street. Unfortunately, many people rush right by in the morning on the way to rope drop headliner attractions. Then, at night they are too tired from a full day to really stop and enjoy all it has to offer.
There is really so much to do in this small area that I really believe you could spend most of the day here to soak it all in. Grab some ice cream, do some shopping, get a hair cut, enjoy all the live entertainment.

A New Look
Main Street will see a new look soon! In particular, Cast Members who spend their days in the Emporium, Ice Cream Parlor, and other beloved places will have new costumes! See the new looks above.
Disney says the costumes are made from a lightweight, breathable fabric. In addition, they are made from recyclable materials!
That will surely help with those long summer days in Florida! And we love Disney’s sustainability efforts. You may remember PhotoPass Photographers received a similiar costume update.
