One Special Secret Returns to the Magic Kingdom

If you love traveling to Walt Disney World, then you are probably already in the know when it comes to some of the best secret locations and places to experience even more Disney Magic. You probably know the best spots for watching the fireworks inside and outside the parks. You probably notice little details and smile to yourself as others walk by unaware.

And now, one special piece of the magic has returned to Disney World. Will you be clamoring for a chance to experience it again?

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is a classic attraction at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Guests can climb aboard one of 90 wood-carved ornate horses—or one intricately carved chariot and enjoy a ride to gorgeous music

Did you know that you can ride Cinderella’s own special horse on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom? You can ride Prince Charming’s steed as well. Some argue that this piece of lore is untrue, but we are believers.

Many people enjoy trying to grab a seat on these special ponies. However, in November 2022, Cinderella’s horse went missing! You can read the full story HERE.

When asked, the Cast Members would simply say, “She is visiting the royal stables.” No one knew exactly how long the “visit to the stables” would last.

However, now Cinderella’s horse is finally back on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel! We found her at the very start of the New Year, and what a lovely surprise it was!

One of the nice things about the attraction is that the horses can be refurbished one at a time while a stand-in takes their place. They come back looking as good as new! Even the belt that smaller riders use looks brand new. You can see it compared to another horse’s worn-out belt.

How You Can Find Cinderella’s Horse

While all the beautiful snowy-white ponies on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel may look alike at first glance, you can find these special horses if you know exactly what to look for! There are several ways to know you have the one.

First of all, you can look for the sleigh. Cinderella’s horse and Prince Charming’s Horse are on a row together 8 rows back from the sleigh!

Next, you can look for Prince Charming’s horse. He is right beside her on the outside of the row, and she is the second horse in the row. You can see him pictured in his green saddle, golden helmet, and armor in the picture.

Also, all of the horses are numbered, and you can find the numbers on golden plates on their bridals. Cinderella’s horse is #37.

Finally, look for the distinct golden tail ribbon. Cinderella’s horse is the only one with a golden ribbon tied around her tail. She also has purple roses in her mane. Some of the other horses have roses as well, but they are missing the golden ribbon.

To increase your chances of a ride on Cinderella’s horse, visit Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at rope drop before crowds have gathered or toward the end of the night when few people are in line and you have your pick of the horses.

Look for the golden tail ribbon!

Pirate Tip: If you want to try to get your child on this horse, it might be best NOT to tell them about it until you actually have it secured and your child is on the horse. Then you can point out it is the special horse. It can be disappointing for a child to know about it and then not be able to ride.
