Most theme park fans appreciate amazing nighttime spectaculars filled with pyrotechnics and projections. One innovation in nighttime spectaculars that has raced to the forefront in recent years is drone shows!
We have already started seeing spectacular drone shows light up the night skies in combination with fireworks at theme parks like Disneyland Paris. You can check out one of the recent drone shows right here!
With such glorious shows developing overseas and in US theme parks like Dollywood, many fans are wondering if we will ever see them in our beloved Orlando theme parks.
Drone Shows Heading to Orlando
We have great news if you love the look of these cool new shows. Pieces are falling into place which could mean we could see drones incorporated into MORE nighttime shows sooner rather than later!
For one thing, Disney just made a big shift in leadership. Former Vice President of Entertainment at Disneyland Paris David Duffy is stepping into that same role for The Walt Disney World Resort. You can read more on this change and other positive moves for Disney HERE.
But wait, there’s more!
But David Duffy isn’t the only thing coming to Orlando that is associated with Disneyland Paris. Dronisos, the company responsible for the dazzling Disneyland Paris drone shows is setting up shop in Orlando!
Dronios recently announced the expansion in a press release that stated, “Leveraging its expertise in permanent drone shows for amusement parks, Dronisos strategically chose Orlando for its first U.S. office.” It went on to say, “Orlando, as the heartbeat of the amusement park industry, emerged as a strategic location for Dronisos’ American expansion.”
