The Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Attraction Reaches a Big Milestone

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is replacing Splash Mountain at Disney World and Disneyland next year. While exterior construction is obvious to park Guests, Disney has not offered many glimpses into the interior. Now we finally our first look INSIDE the ride itself.

The enchantment of the bayou will illuminate with a celebration during Mardi Gras season hosted by Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. It picks up where the movie last left off: with the kiss.

In addition, Mama Odie will reprise her role as the catalyst of that magic. Mama Odie will joke with guests along their journey after a special display of her magic.

The two-hundred-year-old Bayou Fairy Godmother, with her eccentric belongings and “seeing eye snake,” Juju, is comically eccentric, yet wise and all-knowing, throughout the adventure.

Take a look at the cool attraction details HERE and the storyline HERE. We love the new water tower and a new look for Princess Tiana herself.

Exterior progress is easily noticeable to anyone passing by. However, we are not able to see anything on the inside unless Disney provides that information.

Disney gave us a sneak peek of the mural inside the attraction queue recently. But, we got our first real look inside the ride itself. It looks like quite a few attraction elements from Splash Mountain will be part of the story for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as well!

If you watched the Disney100 documentary on ABC, you probably watched the segment about the attraction. We saw Imagineers inside what appears to be the part of the ride before one of the drops.

Judging by the video, it appears Disney will keep the same rock work and some of the same greenery. But, it does look much more lush than what we saw in Splash Mountain. I also peep a small house/cottage/shed in the back.

The documentary did not specify if they were inside Disney World or Disneyland’s version. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open at both parks later in 2024.
