If you are looking for some fun at the movies, you could be in for a treat! Disney is bringing three Pixar movies to the silver screen for the very first time. We have all the details for you.
Straight to Disney Plus
It is no great secret that the Pandemic changed the way the world consumed media for a time. During a timeframe when fewer and fewer people were venturing to movie theatres, Disney tried several methods for releasing films. For Example, Raya and the Last Dragon was subject to a bit of a hybrid rollout where it simultaneously came to both theatres and the Disney+streaming service behind a $30 paywall.
Other movies skipped the theater entirely and went directly to streaming through Disney+-only releases. This was great fun for subscribers who relied entirely on home entertainment. However, now that theatre attendance is on the mend, Disney is ready to release some of those straight-to-Disney+ movies to theaters for the very first time.
Pixar Movies Come to the Silver Screen
Very soon, you will be able to watch not one, not two, but three Pixar movies on the big screen for the very first time! Soon you will see the theatrical debut of Soul, Turning Red, and Luca, three movies that initially had Disney+ releases.
You can begin buying tickets for these movies as early as January 2, 2023. Soul makes its theatrical debut on January 12, 2024. Turning Red will come crashing in on February 9, 2024. Finally, Luca makes a Splash on March 22, 2024. This is long overdue for Soul especially. It was initially supposed to have a theatrical release, but that release date ultimately shifted to streaming.
Naturally, they will each be accompanied by a delightful Pixar short as well. Expect to see “Burrow” playing with Soul, “Kittbull” playing with Turning Red, and “For the Birds” playing with Luca.
Remember to grab tickets as early as January 2, 2024, for Luca, Turning Red, and Soul.
And, don’t forget that an ALL NEW Pixar film hits theaters in 2024, too! Look for Inside Out 2 in June!
