Disney Retheming
A lot of retheming has been happening at the parks lately. As much as we hate to see things change or attractions close forever, it’s all part of keeping the theme parks fresh for guests of all ages with new theming and the need to come back again and again.
Disney’s Splash Mountain is currently undergoing a major rethemeright now. The attraction will be rethemed to feature characters from Disney’s film, The Princess and the Frog. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is expected to open later in 2024.
Recently, Disney announced that Tarzan’s Treehouse at Disneyland would be remodeled. Rumors circulated about possible retheming of the house. Disney later revealed that the Adventureland Treehouse would pay tribute to the original treehouse that was inspired by Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson film.
Adventureland Treehouse
If you recall from the film, the family built the house among the trees by using objects from nature that they found all around them.
Guests will find a brand new storyline to experience. The treehouse will feature various rooms of the Swiss Family Robinson. In the picture above, we can see the daughter’s room. You can see this room is focused on astronomical elements like stars and planets.
As you travel to the mother’s room, you will find all sorts of musical instruments that includes a guitar, lute, harp and organ. Can you just imagine her playing all of these musical instruments for the family?
Opening Date
It has been a long time since the treehouse has been open to guests. Disney has finally shared an opening date and it’s soon! Adventureland Treehouse will welcome guests to explore the walk-through attraction on November 10, 2023.
If you are a fan of Swiss Family Robinson and are excited about seeing this lovely tribute to Walt Disney’s original treehouse, you are going to definitely want to visit!
