Disney World theme park tickets are expensive, there’s no denying that. A popular ticket option is returning in 2024, much to the delight of the people who are eligible to use it!
Salute Ticket Offer
Military members can enjoy deep discounts on hotels, tickets, and more with the generous Salute Ticket offer. It’s a wonderful way for Disney to honor those who make sacrifices every day.
Those in the military community really appreciate the flexibility of the Salute offer. The tickets are not date-based, which is nice when unexpected TDY, PCS, or the dreaded D-word (deployment) comes up unexpectedly.
The offer is also incredibly generous. Tickets cost less than $100/day and offer the ability to park hop. Hotel discounts can be as high as 40% off!
Renewal
Disney just shared details for the 2024 renewal. Here are the options:
- 4-days with park hopper: $369 plus tax (purchase through December 17, 2024)
- 4-days with park hopper plus: $399 plus tax (purchase through December 17, 2024)
- 5-days with park hopper: $389 plus tax (purchase through December 16, 2024)
- 5-days with park hopper plus: $419 plus tax (purchase through December 16, 2024)
- 6-days with park hopper: $409 plus tax (purchase through December 15, 2024)
- 6-days with park hopper plus: $439 plus tax (purchase through December 15, 2024)
The tickets are valid January 1 through December 20, 2024 with the following blackout dates: March 24-April 6 and November 24-30. As far as we can tell, these tickets will still need a park pass because they are not date-based tickets.
Pirate tip: purchase tickets through Shades of Green or your local ticket base to avoid paying taxes!
Returning Option
If you follow the Salute offer from year to year, you probably already noticed that the 6-day option is returning! This was last offered in 2020. As we all know, those tickets were extended through the end of 2021 because of the park closure.
The 6-day option was not available in 2022 or 2023. I (Monica) am personally so happy to see the 6-day option. It allows for two trips in one year: a longer 4 day trip and a shorter 2 day trip!
Memory Maker and Resort Offer
You can purchase Memory Maker at a discounted rate of $98 through December 20, 2024. However, if you know you will use Genie+ for your entire visit, I would not bother. Photos are included with the purchase of Genie+ now.
Resort offers are currently available for eligible Guests as well. Disney no longer lists the percentages (up to 30% for value, 35% for moderate, and 40% for deluxe).
In my recent experience, the actual percentage they offer is much less than previous years. I think you’re better off using another discount now. But, it’s always worth it to compare current prices and discounts with what Disney offers with the military discount.
