It’s Halloween season, and what better way to celebrate the spooky time of the year than with a scavenger hunt where you look for 13 items? See the correlation there. Well played, Disney.
Halloween at Disney
Halloween at both Walt Disney World and at the Disneyland Resort is one of my (Marisol) favorite times of the year, from the Mickey pumpkin wreaths on Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom to the enormous smirking Mickey pumpkin where Town Square and Main Street U.S.A. intersect at Disneyland.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is in full swing at Magic Kingdom. And, Oogie Boogie Bash remains quite popular as the entire season has sold out at Disney’s California Adventure Park.
However, suppose one is not attending these unique parties. In that case, there is still a way to get into the Halloween spirit while visiting these parks and going on a spooktacular adventure! As a reminder, park reservations and admission are still required.
Scavenger Hunt at the Disneyland Resort
Disney has shared that a fun new scavenger hunt guide is available to print on their page for guests to enjoy as they navigate through Disneyland Park, Disney’s California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District.
If you’re among the brave souls who will undertake this quest, check out these thirteen amusing riddles that will lead you to some hauntingly hard-to-find spots.
Guests will be sent out to look for 13 Halloween-time things around Disneyland Resort. For example, inside Disneyland Park, one clue reads: “In the afternoon, this frightful pair may be found in New Orleans Square; say hello, take a picture, but don’t have a nightmare.” Think you’ve figured it out? That’s an easy one for me, as “for it is plain, as anyone can see.”
Disney also provides an answer key once you have completed all 13 riddles and clues.
Magic Kingdom Park
Are you not visiting the Disneyland Resort during Halloween time? There is no need to fret! Magic Kingdom, too, has its own 13 Eerie Things Scavenger Hunt! Guests will find themselves making their way through Adventureland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Main Street, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, and around the Park, which, coincidentally enough, this riddle is only located certain times during the day.
I’ll share with you my favorite riddle in Tomorrowland. It reads: Sit down for a spell to explore a great big, beautiful tomorrow, where a teen has crafted a ferocious Halloween costume. Figure it out? Turns out he’s also using his sister’s picture as a model for his pumpkin!
The guide can also be printed from the Disney Parks Blog. The answer link is also available to help you see how many you got correct! Some of them seem a bit harder than others but what a fun activity to complete in addition to what the parks have to offer. The best part of it is that even though there is no prize at the end, the activity is completely free!
Will you participate in the 13 Things at Magic Kingdom or the Halloween Time Scavenger Hunt Around Disneyland? Please share with a friend who loves to go on adventures, especially this time of year!
