From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to its name in the entertainment industry today, The Walt Disney Company proudly continues its legacy of creating world-class stories and experiences for every member of the family. Walt Disney and his brother Roy created The Walt Disney Company on October 16, 1923.

Disney 100 Years of Wonder is the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Parks around the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary, with the heart of the celebration at Disneyland Resort.

Many guests packed Walt Disney World yesterday but were left somewhat disappointed. The consensus of many was that this was simply a “normal” park day with the exception of the official grand opening of “Journey of Water” at EPCOT.

Magic Kingdom guests did notice filming for Good Morning America early in the morning, but this was the only indication that this was a slightly significant day.

Disneyland in California offered the same 100 Years of Wonder offerings throughout the day, but nothing special to mark this big celebration.

Disneyland Paris was the real park that truly embodied the 100 Years of Wonder celebration. Earlier Disneyland Paris announced a one-of-a-kind festivity, exclusive character encounters, and unique Disney experiences. They did not disappoint with rare character appearances throughout the day.

The platinum carpet was rolled out for Disneyland Paris guests, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse greeted adoring fans in their platinum 100th Anniversary outfits.

This left many Disney guests wondering why Disneyland Paris offered such a fun, magical celebration while Disneyland and Walt Disney World went about as a typical day.

The surprising twist for the 100 Years of Wonder celebration is that the real celebration did not cost a park ticket. To really celebrate the true magic of the Walt Disney Company turning 100, Disney fans can enjoy this at home.

Disney fans fell in love with the “Once Upon A Studio” that premiered on Sunday night. This isn’t simply a montage of our favorite films, but these characters interact with one another like never before. It has all the feels from laughter, to joy, and even may bring a tear to your eye a time or two.

Last night in true Disney magic, a new reel emerged that truly gives us all the feels. The reel starts with the legendary voice of Walt Disney taking us on our journey that it “All Started With A Dream.”

We see scenes of our favorite animated classics, Star Wars, images from the Disney Parks, and Disney’s newest film “Wish” as these dreams “Become Memories.”

It is this mixture of the magic of these Disney films next to Disney guests experiencing the magic in the Disney Parks that makes Walt Disney’s first dream for Disneyland come alive.

The quote of Walt to “Give the public everything you can give them.” This is the real Disney difference! Take a look at this full film:

The ending where Walt Disney states, “We’re just getting started!” is the great moment we all hoped for with Disney 100. We celebrate the past 100 years, but can’t wait to see what the next 100 years hold.

What do you think of the lackluster celebrations at the Disney Parks? Do you think it is fitting that these films are the big standouts for 100 Years of Wonder? Which is your favorite of the two films? Share your thoughts with us and share this film with all of your Disney pals.
