Disney+ first launched in 2019, and has generated some negative news in the past several months. First, Bob Iger announced that prices would increase for the ad-free subscription tier. Along with this news, Iger promised that account-sharing will soon be addressed for Disney+ subscribers. Read more about this HERE.
Back in May, Disney shared that they would begin removing content from Disney+ along with canceling new content that was previously announced. This created ripples of concern among Disney+ subscribers that once favorite shows would be canceled and removed. Read more about this move HERE.
Thankfully, it is not all bad news. New content continues to be added, and the latest addition is the BEST yet!
Once Upon a Studio
Last night, Disney celebrated the 100 Years of the Walt Disney Company with a 100th anniversary celebration special on ABC. The evening was hosted by Kelly Ripa and was a true celebration of the Walt Disney Company.
“Once Upon A Studio” debuted both at the beginning and had an encore at the end of this special. This new short film directed by Trent Correy and Dan Abraham included so many of our favorite animated classics over the years.
This isn’t simply a montage of our favorite films, but these characters interact with one another like never before. It has all the feels from laughter, to joy, and even may bring a tear to your eye a time or two.
