You won’t believe how many rides aren’t operating this morning at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Take a look at what is happening here.
Unexpected Closures
Sometimes unexpected closures occur at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Either a ride is malfunctioning or some quick work needs to take place that doesn’t require a full blown refurbishment. Something may need fixed that doesn’t affect the ride function.
Unfortunately, those unexpected closures can became a multi-day closure. And sometimes, multiple attractions go down at once, leaving guests disappointed.
What is Happening?
This morning, September 18, several rides have failed to open at Disney’s Magic Kingdom! The list of lines not operating is long! Liberty Square, Adventureland, Frontierland, Main Street U.S.A. and Fantasyland are all affected! This leaves a short list of attractions that are open.
This morning several attractions have filed to open at Disney’s Magic Kingdom!

Adjusting Plans
Unfortunately, with the 2:00pm park hopping rule, if you have a park pass for Magic Kingdom, it’s not as easy as just switching parks this morning. Unfortunately, it seems that Disney World attractions go down more often than they should.
If you’re at Magic Kingdom, it can be frustrating! However, while you’re waiting, you can take in the shops or check MDE and see what is operating.
According to reports, a bear has been sighted in a tree near Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland!
