Kids love Disney Junior! I (Monica) have such fond memories of my kids watching Doc McStuffins, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Vampirina. Some old and new favorites are currently part of a special event taking place at Disneyland.

Disney Junior & Friends Playdate is a three-day event celebrating the magical, entertaining and music-filled stories of Disney Junior’s hit series. It will bring the magic straight to preschoolers and their families!

The event runs August 18-20 at Disney California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney!

During this 3-day event, we are beginning to hear of new Disney Junior news, and that includes a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0! In the next round of Disney Junior’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0 (working title), Mickey and pals welcome everyone back to the clubhouse for all-new adventures filled with songs, laughs, handy helping, and fun new surprises.

The new series will see the clubhouse expanding with a brand-new area just for Minnie. Plus we will even get to see Duffy the Disney Bear, Mickey’s trusted teddy bear, who will make surprise appearances in multiple episodes. The series originally premiered in 2006, and new episodes will air in 2025.

Duffy will be a part of the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

We previously shared that Disney+ is working on a preschool series starring Ariel. You can read more about it HERE.

The treasures Ariel finds help her solve problems. In a play that looks set to charm pre-schoolers, when she makes a discovery, Ariel is filled with joy, and her mermaid tail, “which changes colors depending on her emotions, lights up and shimmers.”

Mykal-Michelle Harris (Ariel), Tay Diggs (King Triton), and Amber Riley (Ursula) will all participate in the series as voice actors.
