Man dies after riding Magic Kingdom rollercoaster
Tragically, a guest passed away after riding a Magic Kingdom rollercoaster.

Disney World is known for its world-class attractions. From calm boat rides to intense rollercoasters, there is something for everyone at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Magic Kingdom in particular has a wide variety of attractions. Boat rides include favorites like Pirates of the Caribbean and it's a small world. There are four coasters currently in operation: Space Mountain, TRON, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Big Thunder Mountain.
Unfortunately, a ride on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness ended in tragedy.
Quarterly Report
Every Quarter, a report gets released detailing theme park accidents and injuries. For the second quarter, which runs from April to June, we see the following at Disney World
- 4/2/23 Flight of Passage, 61 yom, guest had a seizure after experiencing the attraction
- 4/17/23 Frozen Ever After, 21 yof, guest had a seizure after exiting the attraction
- 5/1/23 TRON Lightcycle/Run, 9 yof, guest lost consciousness after experiencing the attraction
- 5/26/23 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, 44 yom, guest collapsed after exiting the attraction and later passed away from a personal illness
- 6/7/23 Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, 41 yom, guest fell while exiting the attraction and fractured his elbow
- 6/26/23 Test Track, 27 yom, guest had chest pains and illness after experiencing attraction
Tragic Accident
As you can see, injuries range from seizures to fractures. The most serious of all is a man collapsed after Big Thunder Mountain. He later passed away.
According to Florida Politics, the Orange County Medical Examiner's office said a cause of death for the man who recently moved to Florida has not been determined yet. And, the autopsy report is still pending.
The district released two 911 calls which appeared to be made by bystander and a Disney Cast Member. According to the calls, the man fell on the ground and had a seizure at the exit of the ride. Another Guest performed CPR before paramedics arrived.
His obituary said he passed away a day after the incident, which occurred on May 26. He was a husband, father of 3, and doctor. Our thoughts are with this man's family.
