Yo ho, let’s go! The Disney Treasure is set to sail the high seas in 2024, and Disney Cruise Line has just released the traditional character stern. Read on to learn which characters will soon set sail on an adventure!
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company. Currently, the ships provide a variety of itineraries to destinations around the world. Some popular itineraries include the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mediterranean, Alaska, and Northern Europe.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line has a fleet of five ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish. In 2024, they will add an additional ship to the fleet.
Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure is currently in production in the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The first piece of steel cutting began in January of 2023, and as the months passed, more exciting progress occurred. This included the Keel Laying Ceremony. The ceremony consists of placing the newly minted coin under the ship’s keel for good fortune for the ship and its crew members. The embossed traditional, elegant artwork was also painted on its bow featuring Voyager Minnie Mouse.
Furthermore, the installation of the bridge block containing essential navigational equipment for the ship, including the wheel, was secured in June 2023. This brings us to today, where Disney Cruise Line shared the long-anticipated reveal of who and what the Treasure stern will adorn.
Disney Treasure Stern Revealed
Peter Pan and Captain Hook fans will be delighted to learn that the Disney Treasure will feature none other than the famous dynamic duo!
Peter Pan will levitate next to the Disney Treasure to add the finishing touch to the ship’s stern filigree. Paintbrush and paint bucket in hand, Peter Pan sports a mischievous grin as he glances back at Captain Hook, who is dripping in yellow paint.
