100 Years of Wonder

The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th Anniversary! Disneyland will be at the center of the 100 Years of Wonder celebration, and you can read all about it HERE.

Disney 100 Years of Wonder will be the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. The celebration is in full swing at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World as the official kickoff to the celebration began in January 2023.

Nighttime Spectaculars

As part of the celebration, two major nighttime spectaculars were announced to begin. “World of Color – One” at Disney California Adventure park will celebrate the storytelling legacy started by Walt Disney a century ago. It will tell a new story of how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change.

And at Disneyland park, Walt’s original magic kingdom will become a magnificent canvas with “Wondrous Journeys,” a new nighttime spectacular that will ignite the wonder in all of us. It will feature nods to every Walt Disney Animation Studios film to date, taking us on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart.

Wondrous Journeys

Wondrous Journeys features every film release by Walt Disney World Animation Studios including the newest upcoming film, Wish! The nighttime show debuted on January 27, 2023. The show has 18 different Disney songs! Guests can even watch Baymax take flight!

Today, Disney shared some Halloween news, including details for Oogie Boogie Bash, Halloween activities and the nighttime spectacular, called Halloween Screams. However, as exciting as this news is, we also received some rather disappointing news.

To make way for “Halloween Screams,” the nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” is scheduled to make its last performance of the year on Aug. 31.

Wondrous Journeys will have their final performance of the year on August 31, 2023!

Seeing how the new show has only been running for a matter of a few months, the news of this show ending could leave many guests feeling pretty disappointed. After all, the upcoming film Wish! has not even been released yet.
