Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride

In Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, you can ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh across from 7 Dwarfs Mine Train. However, before the ride was reimagined as The Many Adventures of Winne the Pooh, this space was home to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride was an opening day attraction Disney World attraction on October 1st, 1971. It mimicked Disneyland’s version of the same attraction.

Disneyland’s version of the ride was also a 1955 opening day attraction. Both rides are inside dark rides and based on the 1949 animated feature The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. The Mr. Toad character is also loosely based off the popular children’s book The Wind in the Willows. If you want to ride it, check out the Disneyland’s version since it’s still in operation. Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket and Other Fun

Even though there’s no longer a Mr. Toad’s attraction at Disney World, he continues to have a huge following. You can see a nod to him at the Haunted Mansion pet cemetery and on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction. So, we were excited to share recently that Disney is releasing a new Mr. Toad popcorn bucket at Disney World!

For Disney’s 50th anniversary celebration, Disney released a Mr. Toad’s peanut butter and white chocolate dome cake. Check out my review on this adorable dessert HERE.

Additionally, there is a PhotoPass Magic Shot near Storybook Circus, although the photo backdrop is between It’s a small world and Peter Pan.

Ordering and Picking up the Popcorn Bucket

This popcorn bucket will only be on sale November 1-4. You heard that right, only 4 days! Such a bummer. To avoid incredibly long lines and traffic congestion, Disney is selling this item through My Disney Experience using mobile ordering.

In addition, there will be a limit of 1 mobile order per day for 2 buckets while supplies last. Unfortunately, this may not limit scalpers. I’ve already seen it listed it for sale for $199 as a presale!!

After successfully placing a mobile order for this cool popcorn bucket, you’ll pick it up it up at Pete’s Silly Sideshow near the Dumbo attraction. This is the same location they sold day of October 1 merchandise using a virtual queue. Most likely, you’ll be given a pick-up time frame like with ordering food to avoid heavy congestion.
