Elton John
Sir Elton John is one of the top-selling solo career artists of all time. He has sold more than 200 million records worldwide. That is simply astonishing! Disney fans will definitely recognize him for his work in The Lion King. Songs from the movie earned him a total of three Academy Award® nominations for “Circle of Life”, “Hakuna Matata” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”, which turned out to be a winner!
The movie went on to Broadway, which then received a grand total of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical and a Grammy for Best Musical Show Album in 1998. Elton John has also been involved in other Disney projects such as the Tony Award winning Broadway show, Aida, and Billy Elliot.
