No one really likes to hear that their favorite attraction will be under refurbishment during their trip. Attractions, buildings, and even sidewalks need to be maintained, and refurbishments help the parks run smoothly. Almost every trip you take, you are bound to run into some type of refurbishment.

From resorts to transportation, there is always work to be done at the Disney Parks. Recently, we shared an EPCOT pavilion would be affected by a refurbishment with no end date set. Currently, work is taking place right along Main Street USA.

Work is taking place on the side street near the Crystal Arts storefront. This tiny side street, Center Street, offers quaint seating locations and even showcases Disney artists’ creative silhouette artwork.

I (Donna) always love to walk through this area at the park closing and hear the fun sounds coming from the shops located along this street. Back in May, construction walls were erected and work was started (shared in the photo above.) A Cast Member reassured us that this is just a refurbishment for the bricks.

The good news is that Center Street will be completely reopened once work on the brickwork has been completed. The bad news is that this refurbishment is STILL underway. The above photo is of the current work. It now extends down the entire length of Center Street.

It appears that this project is slow-moving. The silhouette booth is still located at the end of this construction path. At this time Disney has not shared a projected end date for this construction.

This Center Street will be completely reopened once work on the brickwork has been completed, the bad news is that this refurbishment is STILL underway.

Center Street is one of those hidden gems in the Magic Kingdom where guests can enjoy a quiet moment and appreciate the beautiful theming of Main street USA. We hope that refurbishment will be completed soon for this location.
