Good news for guests buying Genie+ today! A popular attraction has been added to the standard Genie+ offering for a limited time.

Genie+ Versus Lightning Lane

At Disney parks, there are two different options for lightning lane experiences: Genie+ standard offerings and Individual Lightning Lane purchases. Genie+ offerings are included in the flat rate of $15 per guest purchase.

The most popular attractions in each park are offered as Individual Lightning Lane purchases, meaning that guests can buy access to these attractions separately in an “a la carte” fashion.

Changes to Offerings

We reported earlier about changes to Genie+ and Lightning Lane offerings. Attractions like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Frozen Ever After, Space Mountain, and Expedition Everest that were once Individual Lightning Lane purchases changed into Genie+ offerings until August 7th in order to make availability during the busy summer season.

This change adds capacity to Genie+ and helps guests experience more with the service. Read more about this HERE.

New Addition

Now, we have another addition to add to this list starting soon! Starting on May 31 until at least August 7th, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be included in Genie+.

This means that Remy’s and Cosmic Rewind will both be available from May 27-30 as an Individual Lightning Lane Selections. However, starting on May 31, Cosmic Rewind will be the only Individual Lightning Lane offering available at EPCOT!

Overall, this change seems to add even more value to the $15 per person purchase of Genie+, particularly at EPCOT. In a park where Genie+ isn’t always needed, I think this change might entice me to consider purchasing the service for my next trip.

What are your thoughts about this addition? Will it make you more likely to buy Genie+ at EPCOT? Comment below or on our Facebook page to continue the conversation.

Wouldn't it give them LESS money since people won't be paying the Individual Lighting Lane to ride it?

It adds capacity or more to The Bank of Disney??
