Southwest Airlines is a very popular option for Disney World travelers. I (Heather) usually fly Southwest when traveling to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Both Disney World and Southwest are celebrating 50 years! What better way to celebrate then a pixie dusted plane! Check out the EARidescent plane below.

New Fare Option

Southwest is now offering a NEW fare option, Wanna Get Away Plus. This is a great option for some added flexibility!

The biggest bonus to this new fare, transferable flight credit! This is a HUGE perk in case plans change! This new fare also offers same-day change and 8x Rapid Rewards Points.

The transferable flight credit must be used by 12 months from the ORIGINAL booking date. The only other catch is that both parties must be Rapid Reward Members.

Other Additions To Existing Fares

Each fare always includes two bags fly free, no change fees and no cancel fees. I know these are always a big perk for me. Even after my vacation is planned, I try to figure out if I can leave a day or two sooner, and with Southwest I don’t have to worry about those change fees.

In addition to the new fare option, the Anytime fare got some upgrades! With this fare option you will also receive Priority and Express Lanes where available, and EarlyBird Check-in is included!

The three higher fare option levels will all include the Transferable Flight Credit. These new additions to the Southwest fare options are now LIVE and available for purchase.
