Currently, Magic Kingdom uses the Main Street USA trolleys for Dapper Dans, a Pooh and Friends Cavalcade, and early morning greeters/singers. I (Susan) love watching them as they perform up and down main street.

However, this morning while the Dapper Dans were performing, a Trolley Car derailed off the tracks. This must have been scary for the performers and those witnessing the event! Have you ever seen a Trolley Car go off its tracks? If so, how long did it take to get it up and running?

According to @skySabrina666’s Twitter account, the Main Street USA trolley derailed this morning in the front of Main Street (toward the entrance). Since they must follow the tracks, this caused quite an incident.

You can see from the video below that Cast Members were busy working on the Trolley and keeping Magic Kingdom guests at a safe distance.

However, until they can get the trolley literally back on its tracks, all Magic Kingdom cavalcades and parades cannot run. Although this is disappointing for guest, Disney must take in consideration safety of guests and performers.

A trolley car derailed on Main Street, U.S.A. today, March 22.

We’ve just received word that Disney Cast Members were able to get the Main Street, U.S.A. Trolley back securely on the track. However, upcoming Cavalcades may be on a delayed schedule due to the derailing.
