Disney is in the process of creating new accommodations for Guests to enjoy at the Grand Floridian. Here is when those rooms open.
Grand Floridian Expansion
Almost one year ago, Disney Vacation Club announced a major expansion coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Since the resort is so popular, it often books up quickly. The DVC portion of the resort only has about 100 suites and villas ranging from studios to 3 bedroom grand villas.
Disney is reimagining the Big Pine Key building, which is a building in the non-DVC part of the resort, and converting it in to about 200 studios! This expansion will triple the number of suites and villas that the Grand Floridian has to offer!

Purchasing and Booking
Since this is a Disney Vacation Club accommodation, members can purchase points for the studios and villas. They went on sale earlier this month at a shocking price! As of right now, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian & Spa is only on sale to current Members. It has not been released when these points will go on sale to the general public.
Booking for these rooms begin today for members whose home resort is the Grand Floridian. Other members can book beginning May 13. So, when members went to book their rooms when is the first available date.
New Accommodations Opening
The new room accommodations open on June 20, 2022. Considering renovations began earlier this month, this is going to be a pretty quick overhaul! It remains to be seen if the entire building will be complete by this summer.
