Now that the world’s most magical celebration in underway at Disney World, Guests are eager to get some of the special keepsakes from the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. Although 50th anniversary buttons are not available in the Parks, there are some available! Check out our photos and where to find these great buttons!
50th anniversary celebration
Disney World is 50! To celebrate this huge milestone, the parks are decked out in EARidescent decorations, Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals are out in new sparkling costumes, the icons at all 4 parks are dazzling and looking their best, and there are delicious snacks around every corner!
Guests in Disney World are also looking for 50th anniversary buttons to commemorate this special event. Many were surprised to learn that no 50th anniversary celebration buttons are currently available for Guests.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t any buttons available!
50th anniversary celebration buttons
We did find some 50th anniversary celebration buttons to help us commemorate this special event!
Bay Lake Tower, the Disney Vacation Club building located at the Contemporary had just what we were looking for!
In the Community Hall (located on the first floor of the tower), Guests can make their own 50th anniversary button. There are two styles to choose from.
Guests can either make a button with the 50th logo or the 50th anniversary Castle logo.
How are they made?
When making a button, you’ll first choose your design. The designs start as paper cut out to the right size.
The Cast Member will then take out a special machine that will make the button! Your kids will love watching their paper design transform into a button right in front of them!
In less than five minutes, your buttons are ready!
Bay Lake Tower’s Community Hall also offered the same designs as a magnet, so there is an alternative option for those who don’t want buttons!
The buttons cost $1 each and are definitely worth the trip over to Bay Lake Tower to obtain! It is important to note that these buttons are a bit smaller than the celebration buttons typically obtained in the Parks.
You can walk over to Bay Lake Tower from the entrance to Magic Kingdom, so you can easily make a stop here to pick up this fun keepsake!
Community Halls are located in several Disney Resorts, so if you happen to be staying in one, it is worth stopping by to see if your Resort offers this fun activity as well!
