Magic in Every Mile
RunDinsey offers a wonderful race experience throughout the year for Disney fans to be abe to run throughout “The Most Magical Place on Earth” before Disney Parks have even opened for the day.
I was able to participate in the last runDisney event before the Disney Park shutdowns for COVID-19. Read my experience in completing the Princess half marathon HERE. Fellow KtP writer, Heather, was able to compete in the 2020 Marathon Weekend event. Check out her experience HERE.
Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that was the last runDisney event for 2020. All other runDisney events have been held virtually. Recently runners began tightening their laces to complete the runDisney Virtual Series for 2021 featuring our favorite lion cub, Simba.
Disney Wine & Dine
Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend this November 4-7, 2021. This will be the first in person event in over a year.
The theme for this event will be Wickedly Delicious. They will offer a 5K, 10K and 1/2 marathon. They will again offer the post race party for an after-hours access to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
Registration for this event will begin on July 6, 2021 at 10am (ET) for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members. General registration will open on July 13, 2021 at 10am (ET).
Marathon Weekend
The runDisney calendar gets a huge jump start every year as the Marathon weekend welcomes Guests to enjoy magical miles. This will boast a 50th anniversary theme.
Registration for this event will begin on July 20, 2021 at 10am (ET) for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members. General registration for the In-Person event will open on July 27, 2021 at 10am (ET). General Registration for virtual races opens on July 30, 2021 at 10am (ET).
2022 Marathon Weekend will take place January 5th-9th.
Princess Half-Marathon Weekend
Princess Half-Marathon weekend. This was truly an unbelievable race. Runners can choose to compete in the 5K, 10K, and half-marathon. Also the Fairytale Challenge allows runners to complete both the 10K and half-marathon during the same weekend.
The dates for the 2022 Princess Half-Marathon weekend 2022 are Friday, February 24th-27th. You even have an option to register for Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga on February 24, 2022.
Registration for this event will begin on August 17, 2021 at 10am (ET) for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members. General registration for the In-Person event will open on August 24, 2021 at 10am (ET). General Registration for virtual races opens on August 27, 2021 at 10am (ET).
Dates for the 2022 Princess Half-Marathon weekend 2022 are Friday, February 24th-27th.
New Springtime Surprise Weekend
As if this was not exciting enough, runDisney is adding a new running event. The Springtime Surprise Weekend will be a completely different experience every year. We can expect that it will be magical because it is a runDisney event after all.
The dates for this event will be March 31st-April 3rd, 2022 at the Walt Disney World Resort. Registration dates have not yet been shared for this event.

Hi, a previous article it mentioned there is a race for everybody all the way from diaper dash to marathon. Is there something for someone with disabilities which seriously prevents them from keeping up with other runners (or maybe even prevents them from finishing the course?) where they could still see characters and have the full experience, as much as possible?
