With the reopening of Walt Disney World Resort just about a month away, we are beginning to see small steps towards the magic returning once again. Something has returned to My Disney Experience, and for many guests visiting the parks soon, it is a sight for sore eyes!
After the park closures, it did not take long for Disney to announce that orders for MagicBands had stopped. Guests who had bands ordered that had trips scheduled had orders automatically cancelled and refunds were issued.
Disney also announced that they would not be accepting orders for any new MagicBand orders.
MagicBand Ordering Returns
We now see in My Disney Experience, that we are greeted with something new! MagicBand ordering and customization has returned!
We know that once the parks do re-open, social distancing and “contactless” solutions will be highly encouraged, so the use of MagicBands will be of utmost importance.
At this time, guests with current reservations can now choose from complimentary or special pre-order premium MagicBands for upcoming stays. Orders can be placed up to 11 days before your arrival date, so that they can be shipped to your home prior to arrival.
Pre-ordering a MagicBand will help guests with Online Check-In and “contactless” payment options. It is important to note that only guests with existing reservations can order and make MagicBand selections at this time.
How to Order
Pre-ordering a MagicBand is easy! All you need to do is login to My Disney Experience online or in the app, and under the My Disney Experience tab, click on “My MagicBands and Cards.”
Here, you will see your reservation details and just click on “Get Started.”
