Hey football fans! The Super Bowl is this Sunday and Disney is getting in on the celebrations too!

I know whenever I think of the Super Bowl, one of the first things I wonder about is which player will be the one after the game shouting, “I’m going to Disney World!”

Disney Parks has been named as the presenting sponsor of the Super Bowl MVP ceremony that will be taking place on the field immediately after the game on Sunday night.

According to DisneyParks Blog, Disney Parks will be “making a big splash during the ceremony by teaming up with Make-A-Wish in a new way, adding something new to a magical relationship that goes back nearly 40 years.”

“Disney and Make-A-Wish have been inseparable for 40 years. We’re both in the business of making wishes come true, creating lifelong memories and bringing families together,” said Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. “We can’t think of a better way to demonstrate the power of a wish and the strength of Wish kids and their families than by making them a part of our great Super Bowl tradition.”

Disney has had a longstanding tradition with Make-A-Wish. The first official wish was granted to a Make-A-Wish child 40 years ago, which included a trip to Disneyland Resort. Since then, Disney has helped grant more than 10,000 wishes each year to children around the world!

The video below shows how Disney and Make-A-Wish have made wishes come true for the past 40 years. These videos are always so heartwarming and have me reaching for the tissues. It just goes to show you how truly magical Disney can be for so many people, especially children.

This year, the Super Bowl MVP will travel to Walt Disney World Resort after the game to participate in a celebratory parade followed by a day of fun in the parks, including a trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge over at Hollywood Studios.

With all of the Super Bowl festivities, if you are heading to the parks this weekend, it is a good idea to check out Kenny’s Crowd Calendars to see how it could affect your trip! There is no doubt in my mind that the Magic Kingdom will be BUSY the day after the big game.

Will you be heading to Walt Disney World this weekend or have you been fortunate enough to watch the Superbowl MVP in the parade? Tell us about it in the comments or in Kenny’s crew on Facebook!
