Disney Cruise Line Announces Winter 2021 Itineraries

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

Is the sea calling your name? Then today is your lucky day! Just this morning Disney Cruise Line released their early (January-May) 2021 itineraries.  Two brand new addition ports of call are Yucatan (Progreso) Mexico, and Santa Catalina Island off the coast of beautiful and sunny California.

Additionally, the Disney Wonder will be returning to New Orleans and The Magic will be sailing from Miami.  Both the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will remain at Port Canaveral.  Disney Dream will continue 3 or 4 night sailings, whereas The Fantasy will sail on its consistent 7 night Western of Eastern itineraries.

Book your Disney Cruise  when dates are first released, it allows you to plan out at least a year out in advance, which allows you to portion out your deposits over time.   Additionally, I highly recommend that you take  advantage of opening day pricing  as it can be a great savings than booking at a later date due to availability.

General booking for this new itinerary release will not open until Thursday October 3rd.

  • Monday September 30th – Platinum Castaway Club members & Disney’s Golden Oaks residents
  • Tuesday October 1st – Gold Castaway Club members
  • Wednesday October 2nd – Silver Castaway Club members, Adventures by Disney Insiders, and DVC members who have not previously sailed with DCL
  • Thursday October 3rd, first time cruisers will be able to book.

Prices and dates will be available for all to see on Thursday, October 3rd.  (unless you fall into one of the categories listed above booking between September 30-October 2nd)

If you are a Castaway Club member, (you have previously sailed on Disney Cruise Line) then you are in luck as you can book your future voyage online beginning on Monday.  You now have the availability of booking while calling into Disney Cruise Line or booking online through the website. However, the only problem of booking online is that the website does not accommodate placeholders. You will need to contact your travel agent or call directly to DCL at 1 (800) 951-3532.

Is the sea calling your name?  What are your thoughts about the two new ports of call?

I am a gold castaway member. Does everyone have to wait until their date to book to just get information and cost? Or can you get information so when the booking date starts you can just book? Thanks.

Do you happen to know if the new orleans sailings are closed loop US sailings? We are adopting and while the child is still technically in custody of whatever VA county, we will have trouble getting him or her a passport. So we are trying to book closed loop US sailings for the near future.
