Free Dining 2017 could be offered beginning tomorrow morning

Many people are anxioulsy awaiting an official announcement concerning Free Dining for Fall 2017.  Many blogs feel that tomorrow morning will be the date.  Here's the rumored details:

Rumors say you'll be required to have a 3 night stay in an official Walt Disney World resort with a 2 day or more Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus ticket per person.  It's said that Disney Visa holders and Canadian guests can reserve dates as early as August 13, while other guests must wait until August 21st for initial check-in.

Actual resort stays should be something like August 21-September 30, November 14 to 20, November 25 to 27, December 3 to 23.  You have to check-in on one of those dates to have the promotion count toward your stay.  (Actual guaranteed dates should be announced tomorrow).

The biggest change for 2017 is the fact that Disney is only offering the Quick Service Plan instead of the regular Disney Dining plan for Moderate Resort guests.  Guests will be allowed to upgrade from Quick Service to the Disney Dining Plan at a cost of $20.99 per adult and $4.04 per child per day.

All of this should be confirmed here early tomorrow morning.  If you're interested in being one of the first to receive a quote early tomorrow morning, just complete the form below.

  1. Any idea what the late fall discounts will be, and when they will be released? We're going October 18-23 and staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. Also do you recommend Halloween Party on Thursday October 19th or on Sunday the 22nd? Thanks

  2. Anyone else this morning having a difficult time getting through when calling and not being able to change an existing reservation?

  3. Kenny, I'm so disapointed. The free dining looks like it will begin on Dec 8 not Dec 3. We were going on the 3rd.

  4. Question I just joined the app and for crowd calendar it says light crowd at too and then red for the park im planning to go too does that just mean exactly?

  5. I know WDW resort room only discounts are typically offered at same time as free dining. We do not intend to take advantage of free dining so any word on when the hotel discounts might be offered and what time periods they will apply to? Thanks!!

  6. I was seeing some rumors of the new requirements for fd like, you would need four nights with four day parkhoppers or parkhopper+ added. At least that was what is being offered to the South American guests. Do you think those same requirements will apply to the US??

    1. Not sure but likely the same ones as always like certain villas, campsites and Little Mermaid rooms. If it happens, we should know really early tomorrow
