Disney Characters we met at the Walt Disney World resorts December 21, 2016

Last night we set out to see what characters we could meet and what costumes the characters might be wearing.  We visited 3 different resorts and here’s the characters we met:

We began our journey at the Contemporary Resort where we found Chip n Dale in this cute blue vest, hat and mitten combo.  It was the first time we have met them in these costumes.  The line was very short as they were meeting over behind the gift shop and many didn’t see them.

We then took the monorail over to the Polynesian and met Minnie and Mickey in the main Lobby.  The line looked kind of long, but it moved pretty quickly.   They were wearing a Christmas inspired Polynesian dress and shirt.

From there we took the monorail around to the Magic Kingdom and walked over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani bus stop.  This took FOREVER.  We waited as we saw 3 buses travel to the resorts around us before the bus arrived for Kidani.  We had hoped to transfer at Animal Kingdom to Boardwalk for a final meet of the day, but the long delay put the kibosh on that plan.  But we still had a great time.  We found Snowflake Donald first.

About 15 minutes later Santa Stitch rotated in for Donald on this evening.  The first night of the character meets offered Santa Stitch and Santa Goofy rotating.  Characters and costumes can vary at each resort appearance.

If you are around Walt Disney World during the week leading up to Christmas, you’ll find the schedule for the resort character meets here and it’s always listed under “Walt Disney World” on my main menu.  Most characters have short lines, but Mickey and Minnie at the Grand Floridian is usually a very long line.

You should be aware that many resorts restrict parking to those with reservations of some sort, so you may want to plan your visits using Disney free transportation as we did this evening.
