  1. I feel your pain. My friend also ran into this problem. Luckily she had paid a $20.00 cancelation fee when she purchased her airline tickets. Despite that, she was on the phone for 40 minutes with JetBlue. They couldn’t compute that she shouldn’t have to pay any fees. Eventually the person got the picture but working with them was this side of impossible. As a side thought, pay with American Express next time. They will dispute charges in your favor, get ticket insurance and be prepared to educate their customer service.

  2. Hi Kenny, Is there a specific reason why the first xmas party is on a Sunday this year? I usually run the food wine half marathon and buy tickets for the second christmas party.

  3. I need to vent. Family of five, and we bought our airline tickets from JetBlue to fly down to Orlando from Wash. DC on Sept. 9th and returning the afternoon of the 15th. We have been to MNSSHP before and loved it. After learning that the first party was the 15th, we tried to move our flight to and from Orlando back by one day so as not to miss the 1st party. Easy enough you’d think. Only Jet Blue tells me there will be a charge of $75.00 to change our flight (that is still 5 months out). $75.00? Cool, no problem, I can fit that into the budget to make the party. Nope, turns out they meant $75.00 per ticket. That breaks the budget. so it’s a no can do for us this year and the party which really stinks. We went two years ago and absolutely loved it. In my personal opinion, it’s the best fireworks show Disney puts on. So close but so far. PS, I tried talking to Jet Blue managers, but they won’t budge on the charge.

  4. We plan to become annual passholders when we visit in September. I want to buy tickets to the Halloween Party and Christmas parties now, but want to take advantage of the discount that will be available once we are annual passholders. Any chance Disney will refund the difference later? Or is it likely that we will still be able to get tickets in September, if we just wait?

  5. Hi, Kenny! Are you going to do another article like last year ranking the parties in order of predicted crowds? Looking forward to hearing your opinion!!

  6. I bought my tickets today for the Sept. 22 party! Very excited!! Do you have suggestions of how to plan your night at the party in order to see/experience it to the fullest?

  7. Personally, if I couldn’t make it to midnight I wouldn’t spend the $$. But while you can’t do everything I think you could meet most characters in one night with the shows – last year we saw both parades and Villain shows and saw all the characters on the West/Northwest side of the park (we skipped the ones you could see during the day, Lotso, and Jack Skellington). We could have done more if we felt like pushing it or skipped the second parade/show.

  8. I’m not Kenny obviously, but saw your comment. This past December we did MVMCP for the first time with 3 little ones (6, 5, 2). I suggest maybe taking a break in the middle of the day or spend the day off and then head to magic kingdom just for the party that night. IT IS SO WORTH IT. Kids will love it. The parade is awesome! All of it is awesome! There is fake snow falling from the sky and it was just truly magical.

  9. :) Hi Kenny tickets have been bought following your advice – and the funniest party ( change whole schedule around yesterday and BF is well aren’t those the dates Kenny said to go !! I thought it was hilarious he is not a Disney Hard core fan or follows any Disney Forum however he knows who you are an Trust you!! So testing your calendar and TP this year !! Very excited

  10. Hi Kenny! Trying to decide if doing two MVMCP is worth it. I have two little kids who love characters but probably won’t make it to midnight. Do you think one night is enough to do parade/shows and most characters? Traveling second week of November.

    • Do the one party, then decide if you need a second. However, if you take a mid-day nap, you’ll stay much longer at the party that you thought possible.

      • Thanks for the advice. This will be our first MVMCP and I wasn’t sure if I didn’t buy tickets in advance that I would be able to once there (in case it sells out). I’m looking at going Nov. 10th with possible second party on the 12th if necessary. I think we will go with the 10th and if we need it buy tickets to the 12th while there.

      • It really depends upon what you’d like to do and at what pace you’ll do it. I can work in all my favorite characters and still catch all the shows and parades, but I keep moving through the full night. It would take 2 nights to do everything and meet every character though.

  11. Kenny,
I can only go the 15th first party or the 18th a friday….what do you think will be less crowded?
Hate that these parties are starting so late.
    thanks for any advice!
