How to meet every Princess in Walt Disney World with no stress
Meeting the all the Disney Princesses in one trip can seem like a daunting task to many first time visitors, but you don’t have to be stressed to meet the dresses! Here’s some tips for meeting all the Princesses and I even threw in some bonus female face characters at the end of the post.
Anna and Elsa – Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Hall (only)
The best way to save time meeting the frozen sisters is to pre-arrange Fastpass+. Guests who are staying onsite should book these around midnight 60 days before their trip, but choose the farthest out date during your trip. If you are unsure when our 60 day window begins, check my Crowd Calendars. If they still don’t show up, try using my tips on How to get hard to find Fastpass+ reservations (may be necessary for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train too). If you don’t succeed at first, keep trying!
If you just can’t find Fasptasses and don’t want to wait 2 hours or more, then arrive at the Magic Kingdom 30-45 minutes early. Go straight to one of the ropes on the sides of the train station. When they count down to open the park, stay right on the rope and don’t let people cut you in line. The Cast Members will escort the rope all the way to the Castle in a VERY slow fashion. Once you reach the Castle, go straight through and bear left at the Prince Charming Carousel. You’ll need to circle it to enter the regular Stand By line.
Another option may be visiting during LATE Extra Magic Hours, if you are onsite. The ladies are available from park open to close and DO NOT appear at ANY character dining.
NOTE: Anna and Elsa appear in the same room, but don’t appear in the same photo any longer!
Ariel – Magic Kingdom’s Ariel’s Grotto, Cinderella’s Royal Table or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Magic Kingdom :
Ariel’s Grotto. Ariel can only be found for in park meets at her Grotto in Fantasyland. She is found in her classic mermaid with fin form. She can be met early or late or use Fastpass+ for a short wait.
Cinderella’s Royal Table. The meal is quite expensive, but it includes a photo package with Cinderella. It’s an easy way to meet Ariel in her human form. Ariel doesn’t offer regular in park meets in human form and doesn’t offer mermaid form meets at character meals. This meal is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you might score a meal before the park is open.
Epcot:
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. This is the other Princess meal that offers an opportunity to meet Ariel in human form. The meal here is a little less expensive, but some children don’t care for the unique Norwegian food. I recommend the breakfast meal and you might score a meal before the park is open.
Aurora – Magic Kingdom, Epcot’s France Pavilion, Cinderella’s Royal Table & Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Magic Kingdom
Next to City Hall in Town Square. If you choose to meet her in the Magic Kingdom you will need to check my Character Locator app for her current schedule. She meets next to City Hall, but only in the afternoon. In my opinion, it’s easier to plan to meet her in Epcot, so you don’t have to double back to the front of the park, but she could be met before you leave the park for a mid-day break.
Cinderella’s Royal Table. Aurora visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. Try to see if you can find a meal before park opening for a unique entry experience or book a late breakfast or lunch.
Epcot
France Pavillion near the water. Aurora can be found in Epcot’s France pavilion. Her line here rarely exceeds 20 minutes, but arrive before her first meet of the day and you’ll beat the crowd to see her. It’s a picturesque location next to the water at a gazebo. Use my Epcot Touring Plans to help you meet her easily.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Aurora visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. Children might find the breakfast meal more palatable due to the the Norwegian flavors.
Belle – Enchanted Tales with Belle, Epcot’s France Pavilion, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Magic Kingdom
Enchanted Tales with Belle. Enchanted Tales with Belle is not a traditional meet and greet. It’s mostly an interactive show, but Belle poses for a quick photo with guests involved in the show, as well as anyone who would desire a quick photo. She does NOT sign autographs at this location, but does offer you a special bookmark and Photopass card. Belle wears her distinctive gold ball gown at this location. Use Fastpass+ or visit late at night for the shortest waits.
Epcot
France Pavilion. Belle wears her classic blue smock at this location. She meets beside the water for a picturesque photo. It is best to arrive in France shortly before 11:00 am and head straight to her meet location or you’ll wait in a really long line. She often has guests waiting an hour or more to meet her.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Belle is the official greeter for Akershus character meals.
Most of the year she wears her gold ball gown, but for a week or two around Christmas, she wears her gorgeous red dress.
Hollywood Studios
Character Palooza. Belle often appears at Character Palooza in her blue smock, but she isn’t guaranteed to appear like the other locations.
Cinderella – Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Hall, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Grand Floridian’s 1900 Park Fare
Magic Kingdom
Princess Fairytale Hall. Cinderella appears with Rapunzel in separate photos in Fantasyland’s Fairytale Hall. They are typically there from park opening until 30 minutes before closing. The best way to meet them with no waiting is to use Fastpass+. If you can’t use FP+, you might consider going there at rope drop or right before it closes.
Cinderella’s Royal Table. Cinderella is the official greeter at this character dining location. You receive a complimentary photo package of Photopass photos with her and your family together. They take your photo before entering the castle for your meal. People love dining in the castle, so book this meal 180 days in advance!
Epcot
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Cinderella visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. Children might find the breakfast meal more palatable due to the the Norwegian flavors.
Grand Floridian
1900 Park Fare (Dinner). Cinderella visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. This is a buffet style dinner, so the entire family can find food choices to their liking. Sometimes she poses with her Prince. This meal also includes the Tremaine Family which are hilarious characters. It’s usually easier to get this meal too.
Jasmine – Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Magic Kingdom
Adventureland. Jasmine usually meets with Aladdin in Adventureland next to the Magic Carpets. They usually arrive at 9:30am, but check that with Character Locator before your visit. She often heads straight for a single Magic Carpet ride with a lucky kid before beginning the meet. Genie might pop in for a special meet. I suggest arriving 10 minutes before their first posted meet.
Cinderella’s Royal Table. Jasmine visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. This meal is extremely popular, so book those reservation in advance!
Epcot
Morocco Pavilion. Jasmine meets with Aladdin in the back of the Morocco pavilion in a small room on your right hand side. I suggest arriving a few minutes before their first posted meet to avoid a long wait.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Jasmine visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. Children might find the breakfast meal more palatable due to the the Norwegian flavors.
Hollywood Studios
Character Palooza. Jasmine often appears at Character Palooza. She sometimes appears alone, other times with Aladdin or Genie, but she isn’t guaranteed to appear like the other locations.
Merida – Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Garden (Only)
Magic Kingdom
Fairytale Garden. The Scottish Princess may only be found in the Magic Kingdom. Her location is to the right of the Castle. Be sure to check her schedule on Character Locator before visiting, but the best rule of thumb to avoid a long line is to go there at rope drop on a 9:00am opening day or arrive at 8:45am on an earlier opening day.
Mulan – Epcot’s China Pavilion, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Epcot
China Pavilion. Mulan appears several times per day at Epcot’s China pavilion. If the weather is hot or rainy, she appears beside the temple, if it’s cool out she may appear at the front of the pavilion. I recommend arriving early in the day at one of her first meets or you’ll wait a long time!
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (not guaranteed). Mulan visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. Children might find the breakfast meal more palatable due to the the Norwegian flavors.
Hollywood Studios
Character Palooza. Mulan often appears at Character Palooza. She appears alone but she isn’t guaranteed to appear like the other locations.
Pocahontas – Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
Discovery Island. Pocahontas appears several times daily at Animal Kingdom. She currently meet in the Oasis to the left of the Tree of Life in a kind of out-of-the-way area. You might want to consult my maps page before looking for her or any of the princesses to confirm their locations.
Hollywood Studios
Character Palooza. Pocahontas sometimes appears with Meeko and sometimes alone at Character Palooza. She isn’t guaranteed to appear like the other locations.
Rapunzel – Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Hall (Only)
Magic Kingdom
Princess Fairytale Hall. Rapunzel appears with Cinderella in Fantasyland’s Fairytale Hall. They are typically there from park opening until 30 minutes before closing. The best way to meet them with no waiting is to use Fastpass+. If you can’t use FP+, you might consider going there at rope drop or right before it closes.
Snow White – Magic Kingdom’s Town Square, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Epcot’s Germany Pavilion, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Magic Kingdom
Town Square. Snow White appears in the morning into the early afternoon at the Magic Kingdom. She is typically found in front of the Town Square Theater, but could roam anywhere in Town Square or be found next to City Hall. She usually doesn’t have a long line, but arrive early to guarantee a short wait.
Cinderella’s Royal Table. Snow White visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. This meal is extremely popular, so book those reservation in advance!
Epcot
Germany Pavilion. Snow White is really popular in Epcot. Perhaps it is the high visibility or perhaps it’s because her schedule is posted on the Times Guide? Either way, you should arrive a few minutes before her first meet for the shortest wait.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Snow White visits guests at each table, takes photos and signs autographs. Children might find the breakfast meal more palatable due to the the Norwegian flavors.
Hollywood Studios
Character Palooza. Snow White sometimes appears with the Snow Queen and sometimes alone at Character Palooza. She isn’t guaranteed to appear like the other locations.
Tiana – Magic Kingdom (Only)
Magic Kingdom
Liberty Square Glade. Tiana appears each day at the Magic Kingdom behind the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. It’s an open air meet. She appears alone in the morning and Naveen joins her in the evening. The area is shaded by trees.
Which princesses do you hope to meet on your next trip to Disney World?
Be sure to share with your friends!
I saw “Anna i Elsa – The Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Hall (only)…i was thinking they are only in Epcot Norway Pabilion…is correct?
This is an old article. The actual plan on http://www.characterlocator.com is correct
Would you waste fastpasses to meet the princesses? If so, which ones would you suggest using your fastpasses for? Thanks!
Would you waste fastpasses to meet the princesses? If so, which ones would you suggest using your fastpasses for? Thanks!
The plan tells you which ones to Fastpass. It’s never a waste to do what you enjoy.
You can now meet Rapunzel and Fylnn Rider at Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forna
I’m aware. I did a full review on the first day experience.
Great info. Can’t wait to use it.
If you met a princess at a character meal, would you also try to meet the same princess at a meet and greet also? For instance, if you see Snow White at Akershus, would you bother trying to see her again at MK or Epcot’s Germany???
I wouldn’t bother if they wear the same costume.
YES! I would, depending on your child’s age. Each interaction for my daughter (3 yrs old) was special. We met Cinderella 4 times at various locations and my daughter loved it each time.
We r going for the first time to Disney world Florida …
My daughter is keen to meet princess belle.. She bought belle dress also. Where n when is the best time to meet princess belle n also take pictures with her??
Epcot. First meet of the day as it outlines in this plan.
Kenny: If at Rope Drop, we dash off to Dumbo, Ariel, Mermaid ride, and get to Merida @ 9:30ish, how bad a line would we be looking on a yellow level crowd day (8 per touringplans.com)? Any other consistent lulls when waits under 30 for her? Other thoughts/tricks other than immediate arrival at RD? High on DD5’s priorities.
Really bad idea there. You should dash to Merida and do those other things with no wait after. Merida, Ariel, Mermaid, Dumbo
kenny- this was a great post! This plus your character locator were super helpful on our trip to Disney this past April. We did meet and greets with close to 40 different characters and between using character meals, fast pass and your other suggestions waited no more than 25 minutes for any of them and many had no wait or waits less than 5 minutes!! I would highly recommend your posts and advice to anyone interested in the princesses or other characters. We started with just the princesses, but then it became kind of addictive and I, my husband and my daughter found meetibg the characters almost as much fun as the rides. We are hoping to go back next year and will be sure to use your resources again. Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks Lauren! Glad to hear that it made your experience better. Thanks for telling your friends too.
Hi there, I’m a little confused on Fairy tale hall. So do I need two fast passes one for Elisa and Anna and one for Cinderella and Rapunzel or would we just need one seeing how they are in the same place?
One FP for Anna and Elsa
One FP for Rapunzel and Cinderella
Hi Kenny – invaluable resource, thank you. Just a small addition – people can meet Aurora at the Perfectly Princess Tea Party and the Grand Floridian on various days of the week if the other options are too difficult. It certainly is not the cheapest way of meeting her though!
Does Snow White still meet in Magic Kingdom? Their website (the Disney one) shows “meet Snow White in Germany” so I always figured she was at Epcot primarily. Thanks!
For the princesses in Epcot, you mention meeting most of them at their first scheduled meet. In what order do you recommend visiting them? We’ll be doing Akershus Before park opening, but I think the settings in their countries would be neat for photos.
Check my Epcot Touring Plan
How long is the wait during peak season for Pocahontas?
Usually 20-30 minutes, but can vary based on whether large groups join the line. Arrive a few minutes before the FIRST listed time at http://www.characterlocator.com for the shortest wait.
You forgot to mention Sofia, the “new girl in crown.” She meets at Hollywood Studios, as well as the Play ‘n Dine at Hollywood and Vine character meal. She’s actually my daughter’s favorite princess!
Yes, I’m aware where she meets and she’s on both the Hollywood Studios schedule and the Master list, but she isn’t a face princess, so I chose not to list her.
Hey, we are going to be trying to meet Tiana this Friday after we pick my son up from school. What time do you think we NEED to be in line by to make her last appearance (The time for her last meet shows 4:45-5:55.) If we made it INSIDE the park, no later than 4pm, and then started to head straight to her, do you think we would make it before they close the line? (They closed the line on us a couple times when trying to meet Jasmine at Epcot lol)
I’d go by 4:30pm at the latest
So I have 2 daughters. My hope would be a family picture and then 1 of each with the princess.
Is there any meet and greet (dining I know is a little different) that they would not allow this? Like Ive heard Beast is only one picture and thats it.
Thanks!
Akershus, Cinderella Royal Table and 1900 Park Fare offer different princess experiences. You can see that under MENUS at the top. You can take more than one photo with Beast, but he only meets at Be Our Guest for Dinner
Are Anna and Elsa coming back to Epcot? I saw that rumor online and their characters are showing up at Epcot on my Disney app. Thanks for everything!
What app?
Sorry for the double post! I was looking for it at the bottom and couldn’t find it, so I reposted.
We want to meet both Tinkerbell and Tiana on the same day in late October. Which one do you recommend going to as soon as we get in the park? We probably won’t be at rope drop, but hope to make it by 9:30. When would you recommend meeting the other? We’ll be touring Adventureland and Frontierland, and then swinging over to Cinderella and Rapunzel for a FP between 3 and 4.
Tiana would have the longer line and you could use extra FP for Tink
I am a local…you did an excellent compilation!
I am a local as well :)
Does Mulan ever meet in her Ping persona? If so, where?
No, she was seen at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris in the last couple of years for special events though.
Jasmine was not at Akerhaus in December it was Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella and Snow White, BUT she was at CRT…it is a guess most days and with CRT going under rehad maybe they will change it up more…What are your thoughts on them putting Anna & Elsa as hosts in Norway…we think it would make sense. Anyhow love being able to fi characters with the locator!!!
I doubt they will add them to character meals. None of the princesses in recent years have been added. Characters at meals can vary, this is only a guideline.
We got them all on our trip to WDW in April. Longest wait was for Merida at @ 45 min. Thank you for ask of your help!
I was told that you can only get pics with Belle during Enchanted Tales if you are IN the show???????
It depends on the CM running it when you go. We have seen CM’s stop anyone from lining up for a photo if they weren’t in the show. We have also seen them say anyone who wants to get a photo to come up to the front.
You were told incorrectly. Just ask a CM to allow you to take a photo at the end.
No…she does not sign autographs at all during the show
Wow. Great Info Kenny. However, it looks like I’m only going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot during my much anticipated trip this November/ December, so no Pocahontas I guess. However, I look forward to meeting Belle in her blue dress at Epcot, as well as Mulan, Merida, Tiana, Ariel, and Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle (hopefully!) Any word if Prince Philip or the other princes will appear during the daytime during the Christmas period (outside of the parties)? Thanks
You might find Horace and Clarabelle at the Frontierland Hoedown, but there’s no guarantees that they will do any meets or autographs. Princes don’t meet during the daytime during Christmas, only at parties.
Do you think the Epcot Prinesses will be that busy on a non-EMH day in the 2nd week of September? I want to meet all 4 of them but not too keen to stand in line! I’ll still show up early as per your recommendations. Thanks so much for this post!
Crowds don’t affect these meets too much, they are usually busy every day.
We were able to meet Anna and Elsa with a 45 minute stand-by wait. We got in line shortly after the fireworks started that evening. The employees at the Anna/Elsa rope/time chart gave us this tip earlier in the day. It worked wonderfully! My teenage girls were thrilled. This was their number one thing to do but no fast passes were available so this was a perfect way to end the day!
Since we began Destiny’s journey to meet every princess (Not in one day, because that would be a TON of outfit changes since we have her meet each one in a coordinating dress/outfit lmao), we only have THREE more to go! Belle, Tiana and Anna. I have been saving Anna for last, simply because I do not see us being able to stay at a resort in order to book the fast passes 60 days in advance. Destiny will be 1 in December, so I am kind of secretly hoping we can get her to all of them before then! We just tend to avoid going during these summer months lol. And I am sure you know why! (Your recent post about busiest days!)
Have I ever mentioned to you that I LOVE your blog and it has truly been a lifesaver with a (then, newborn) baby going to meet each princess! :) Next we will move onto other characters like Minnie and Alice, etc. Thanks again! :)
Glad I get to help a little bit.
We plan on meeting all of them due to my 4 year old daughter being completely princess obsessed. My son is not too happy about this though. He does want to meet Anna and Elsa, however. Luckily I booked the fastpasses as soon as my window opened.
Are they still giving out the return times for Anna and Elsa?
Not at this time.
Is there a special itinerary that you have created to help us to visit all the princesses?
Yes the Touring Plan is on http://www.characterlocator.com along with all others.
