After deleting several FREE interactive experiences, one fun adventure will return at Walt Disney World.

Over the years, the Disney Parks have offered many fun and free interactive experiences for Guests. One of the favorites that we still miss is the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game.

Around this time, there seemed to be a shift toward guests unlocking interactive features with the new MagicBand+. This is still going strong at Walt Disney World, but at Disneyland, the MagicBand+ is being discontinued for sale.

Last month, we shared that Disney planned to retire the Play Disney Parks app on September 16, 2026.

Star Wars: Datapad Eliminated

The Disney Parks Play App allows Guests to explore the Disney theme parks in a fun way with interactive adventures, attraction-themed games, Disney Parks music, and Disney trivia!

This also includes fun experiences such as the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, the Star Wars: Datapad, and Batuu Bounty Hunters experience.

The Star Wars: Datapad is now eliminated. Currently, the only way Guests will be able to complete Batuu Bounty Hunters missions is by using a MagicBand+.

DuckTales World Showcase Adventure

The DuckTales World Showcase Adventure was unavailable due to a refurbishment several weeks before this news was first announced. At that time, the future of this experience was uncertain.

Since this EPCOT World Showcase Adventure was played on the Disney Parks Play app, we were worried that it would not return. However, Scott Gustin now confirms that DuckTales World Showcase Adventure "will return in a modified format".
