Universal Islands Of Adventure Attraction Reopens Ahead Of Schedule
One Universal Islands of Adventure Attraction has reopened ahead of schedule. Find out what is now open for guests to enjoy once again!
Pteranodon Flyers

It has been far too long since guests at Islands of Adventures at Universal Orlando Resort have been able to take to the skies courtesy of a Pteranodon! Pteranodon Flyers made it possible.
This ride is unusual in that it was designed with little kids in mind! In fact, older kids, tweens, teens, and adults are only allowed to ride it when accompanied by a rider who stands 36"-56" in height!
Extended Refurbishment

The attraction went down for an extended refurbishment back in February of this year. The closure was only expected to last until mid-May.
On the Universal Orlando website Pteranodon Flyers is scheduled to be closed from February 27, 2026 through July 2, 2026.
The closure was extended, and the attraction was set to reopen and welcome riders on July 3, 2026.
Reopened Today

Today, the Pteranodon Flyers have reopened! This is great news for guests visiting Universal Islands of Adventure today, as this is earlier than expected!
Pteranodon Flyers have reopened today!
