Disney Warns Guests Dining at the Contemporary Resort

Price Increases
Price increases are a part of life at Walt Disney World. The trend is for Guests to expect prices to increase every single year.
Although price increases are evident throughout the year, it appears that October comes with huge price increases across Walt Disney World.
Disney reserves the right to change prices and offerings without advanced warning. Thankfully, this time Disney provides advanced warning for Guests.
Contemporary Resort Dining
Disney's Contemporary Resort offers many great dining options. Guests can enjoy a meal with Mickey Mouse and his pals with a character dining experience at Chef Mickey's.
Guests can enjoy great dining surrounded by Disney nostalgia at Steakhouse 71. There is also quick service dining at Contempo Cafe and The Sand Bar.
California Grill is located on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort with amazing panoramic views of the Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon. There are floor-to-ceiling windows and two viewing platforms.
California Grill Price Increase
Back in October, California Grill increased adult menu prices to $99, which includes an appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink (not including cocktails). At that time, the kids' menu pricing remained the same.
Disney alerts guests that California Grill will increase pricing for children ages 3-9 on June 2, 2026.
Now a new warning is in place on the Walt Disney World website: "Please be aware that starting June 2, 2026, the child price will be $42 per child (ages 3 to 9) plus tax and gratuity. "
Previously, the price was set at $39 per child. While we dislike price increases, at least this one comes with advanced warning for Guests.
